Les Parisiennes
Paris Fashion Week is the one side: international fashion guests in incredible fashion forward outfits running down the little rues from show to show to event to dinner. But the real Parisian style, the phenomenon of the effortless Parisian chic can you only spot on the real Parisiennes. Girls and women doing their every day business and not giving a damn about all this chaotic drama, just walking nonchalant to their lunch date/ love affair/ favorite bookshop. It was a bit hard to get the permission to take pictures of them as they were all a bit in a hurry / shy/ didn’t want this obvious tourist girl to make them pose in their natural habitat. But still, here you have my Parisian fall inspiration, shot during the Paris Fashion Week F/W 2018/19.
Giving the classic winter look a twist with the light-golden crossover bag and the patterned headband. Even the tomato-red headphones are a lovely detail.
Only a girl in Paris can style a light beige puffer coat this chic – and again it works because of the details: Huge golden hoops, a red foulard around the neck and light blue sleeves. Also the three different shades of beige/ off white – jacket, pants and shoes – do a great job.
The navy blue wool-coat is like the navy blue cashmere sweater – a versatile basic that always looks chic and that you can spot a lot in Paris. Here you see it with a little faux-fur collar and in the typical combination from dark blue and black. The sneakers make it laid-back, the golden earrings and buckle are a sweet detail.
The camel-coat will always be a thing – here you have it glammed up with statement-pearly-earrings and the cutest velvet tassel bag. To keep the balance it’s styled with cut-offs and black Dr. Martens boots. Denim-jacket under coat is also a good -10 degrees-idea.
Camel coat numéro due – styled with woolen pants with herringbone pattern, black boots and a cute fluffy red cap. The combination from the golden buttons form the coat and the light brown-leather camera strap give the look a little vintage vibe, as well as the dark brown backpack straps.
Blanket-coat olé – huge, soft, strawberry-red and probably really warm. Maybe elle was the only person that didn’t freeze to death during that fashion week. No make up, the prettiest leather-gloves and the rest of the outfit in all black make it a super chic yet extremely cool look – oh and hello little belt bag!
Mignon strolling through Marais, styled her camel-coat with an eye-catcher leo-print-scarf, a dark brown, patent-leather crossover bag, this typical french red lip and the best smile. Keeping it simple with blue jeans and Adidas Sneakers.
Model off-duty or just used to posing? Pin-striped coat with (hopefully) fake-fur hoodie, black skinnies and perfect classic suede-booties plus bare face and a woolen black beanie – and can I spot the Dior Saddle bag under her arm? Au revoir with this black and navy autumn look.
